Last time Aylia's mother visited her, Aylia managed to trick her into thinking that she lived in Nicole's new apartment, guessing that her mother would probably object to X.  But this time, no such luck!  The second panel of this strip is a minor reference back to Nicole's attempted excuse in Strip #105, while the last panel is something of a reference to this crossover strip, even if that crossover is outside of continuity (and thus kept in the fan extras section, rather than the archives).
