Remember the Oracle of Ars?  She's been mentioned before, back in Strip #596 (a strip I enjoyed doing so much, I couldn't resist referencing it again later, even if I had to do it rather obliquely).  By this point, I think I can mention what it was my brother told me about the Sages -- he thought they were annoying.  I thought about that for awhile, because that hadn't been my intent (I'd just wanted to make them stiff and formal), and finally, I decided he might be right.
