You're probably noticing a difference in the appearance of the art with this strip, and there's a reason why.  Five or six times, I've changed the way I've scanned the pages from my sketchbook in, and the way I've been doing it for at least five hundred strips (and quite possibly a lot more) is that I've scanned the image in "black and white."  That saved me a lot of time and work with cleaning up smudges, and it seemed to make the lines crisper and cleaner.  Unfortunately, that method has some disadvantages, too.
