The reason most people call most magic "wizardry" nowadays is that it's more convenient that way -- the wizarding school Aylia wants to go to teaches plenty of classes in sorcery and alchemy, for instance, even though most of what it teaches is wizardry.  The only magic system that rarely gets confused with wizardry is witchcraft -- witches tend to be too unpleasant, antisocial, and prone to taking offense at having their magic system confused with others'.  The wizarding school doesn't teach it.
