Going to that banquet could be awkward for Cecelia for different reasons: First, the people who tried to set her up with their sons last year might still be stupid enough to try that now, despite the fact that she's not even human anymore . . . or second, the people who tried to set her up with their sons last year might be so terrified of her now that they start treating her like some kind of monster.  Neither would be a fun prospect!
