Ah, running jokes . . . I love this strip, mostly because I got Aylia's expression in the last panel so perfect.  I would describe it as "severely bugged" -- precisely the impression I was trying to convey.  Don't those outfits look hideous?  Jenny really does have . . . interesting taste in clothes.  And she definitely has a skewed idea of what the word "cute" means.
