Yes, X totally got off lightly.  She has a talent for doing that.  On the other hand, chemistry equipment is very expensive, so even if she's currently loaded with money, it'll take a large financial burden off her parents to refuse to buy any more of it for her.  There's no doubt that it will also really irk her to have no equipment for chemistry for a whole week, and no sleeping potions to allow her to cheat by being unconscious through it.  And what else can you do to someone like X, really?
