Ahhh, backfiring!  Letitia was trying to passive-aggressively force Aylia to go back to school with the not-brilliant idea of telling Aylia she has to leave for school now . . . which, in Lettie's opinion, is not kicking anyone out at all, since Aylia of course is supposed to go back to college right now anyway!  Unfortunately for Lettie, this has the result of only making Aylia's tenuous patience with her family snap -- she has other options, more pleasant than the default, and if she's forced to use them, she will.
