Interestingly, Felincia's father took to being a made werewolf much more easily than Reg is.  Part of that was probably because he grew up knowing werewolves existed, and he always knew that only people skilled in magic (wizards or witches, generally) could talk when shapeshifted or transformed into a nonsentient species -- so it didn't come as a big shock to him.  Also, he's the alpha male of his pack, and every single member, besides his wife, is one of their kids.  That makes a difference.
