Ah, poor, dense Duchess Letitia.  (Snickers.)  Of course she's the last person Queen Tilia would have told the truth to about where Aylia had gone -- considering what a gossip she is, that wouldn't be a stroke of brilliance!  It is understandable for her to have been worried about Aylia, since her daughter basically vanished for two days without anyone saying where she'd gone, but she is still being a bit overprotective, given the fact that Aylia has lived away from her family for most of the past two years now.
