Once you get Felincia's claws into a mystery, she's not going to back down and let someone else solve it for her.  Besides, picking up clues and figuring out what's going on by herself is a sort of revenge on Reg for teasing her about a "surprise" all the way there.  ;P  Naturally, she wouldn't be thrilled to smell Albert beyond that door, since they still don't get along -- it's pretty amazing that Jenny even managed to drag him there, in fact!  No doubt she thought it would be the polite thing to do, attending the party.
