"Mysterious art" is a term used by some poets and philosophers to describe magic in Aylia's world, so it's the kind of thing Linnea would pick up from reading books Aylia's loaned her.  It's not the kind of thing anyone else would be likely to say, however: Aylia's too straightforward, Adelaide's too scientific, the Gorgon's too practical, Stefanee's too random, etc.  By the way, have I mentioned before that Aylia would be a nightmare to teach, in a subject she's not interested in?  Because she really would!
