Keri's logic is very, very faulty, but it does make sense, from her point of view.  She's assuming that the main reason Sasha's boyfriend dumped her -- and the main reason that humans from surrounding villages tend to avoid them -- is that they don't like people from other species.  (Not an unreasonable assumption for her to make, given that that is the way most werewolves act; Lycanthrope culture is extremely clannish and xenophobic.)  So, under that assumption, biting him would remove all problems.
