Neither Loretta nor Daria is the kind of person to stay fighting for long.  Daria's attention span is too short, and her intentions tend to be too good-natured.  And Loretta's naturally easygoing about everything except her swords.  So once they got their first conflict out of the way, with Loretta seeing Daria as a threat to her sword collection, the two of them would be bound to get along fairly well.  They're both psychotic loons about their own obsessions, after all.  (Grin.)
