Aylia's mother has some very . . . interesting ideas sometimes.  She adores her daughters and wants to see the world revolve around them, so she keeps trying to figure out ways to make it do so.  Fortunately, Queen Tilia is intelligent and firm enough to turn down all her ideas immediately, but Aylia's mom keeps trying to get them officialized anyway.  It's a very good thing that Aylia's father was the youngest brother of his family, rather than the heir to the throne!
