We haven't seen Lionel in awhile (since Strip #700 and Strip #822, in fact, if memory serves), so I decided it was time to change that.  Besides, this was a storyline I'd been dying to do since Strip #464, or thereabouts.  By the way, the second panel of this strip is a reference back to Strip #390 and Strip #466, when Lionel decided it would be a good idea to use the family pets as pilots.  He cares a lot more about having fun than being responsible!
