I've been thinking for awhile that I wanted to introduce a character who was a member of X's mother's family.  And I thought it would be cool if it were a younger brother of her mom's -- and so, there he is!  I do suspect I may have made this strip too abrupt, so if it seems jarring to you, I apologize for that.  But I think X's uncle looks cool!  I tried hard to make him look a fair amount like Mordran, another male black fairy, but also distinctively different in his own way.
