So, did you assume that the last strip was the end of this storyline?  (Sly grin.)  Well, I'm afraid X still isn't awake yet -- which means Aylia's getting really concerned.  I imagine it's around ten or eleven o'clock now, which is why Aylia's waking up.  Loretta's still asleep because she's trying to sleep in, especially after being up half the night because Aylia woke her up, and she couldn't get back to sleep.  Understandably, this would lead to her being a little irritable.
