This strip is, of course, a reference back to Strip #710, the last storyline when we saw the head of housing.  It's funny to see Aylia being the voice of reason for once, isn't it?  (Grin.)  But everyone has at least one line no one can cross without total rage resulting, and one of Loretta's happens to deal with her swords.  No surprise there, I'm sure!  By the way, can't you just hear how patronizing the head of housing's voice is?  You'd think she was talking to two-year-olds.  (Shudder.)
