The reason it would be okay in dragon society to go on spontaneous visits of two or three weeks is not precisely because they're more hospitable than most humans, though it might seem like it -- it's more because, to dragons, two or three weeks are a negligible amount of time, considering how long they live.  By the way, going back to something Daria said in Strip #615, dragons do not eat humans -- at least, not anymore.  Some might have, thousands of years ago, but not now.
