I'm not sure why the kingdom of Dragoria holds dragon-slaying to be a fine and noble tradition, while most other countries consider it monstrous (with good reason, since dragons are sentient creatures, often smarter than humans, who don't tend to bother other people, unless those people bother them first).  But I think there may have been a war between humans and dragons in Dragoria in the past hundred years, which would account for the prejudice.
