Jessi needed to show up in this strip.  I realized that when I was at the second panel, which was when I discovered that Jenny wasn't going to answer the door unless someone intervened, and Aylia doing so wouldn't solve any problems.  It didn't take long before I realized that Jenny's mother probably came raging at Jessi before she showed up at Jenny's apartment, and Jessi jumped in and offered to drive her there.  Jessi's very good at improvising and thinking fast.
