And that's another thing about X -- she rarely does things without having a good reason.  Of course, sometimes that reason is nothing more than "I wanted to see what would happen if I blew this thing up," but often, it is more than that -- or at least, a little more than that.  (Grin.)  This time, she's created something to help Aylia through an explosion, and that thing is of course useful.  X is a good person to have on your side.
