I love the way this strip turned out -- everything from Alassa's position in the first panel to the way the door's fallen on top of her in the last.  And no, I'm not sure how she opened the door -- my guess is that magical locks can break, just like normal ones.  And knowing their father's magic, it wouldn't be surprising if the lock was a lot weaker than it ought to be.  Did you notice I had to leave Alassa's speech alone in the last panel, by the way?  It didn't work when I tried to erase the handwritten text.
