I told you Reg was a continuing character!  That's the main reason I drew this strip -- to make it clear that he'll be coming back at some point, but that point isn't now (it'll be quite some time before his part of the story comes in).  Well, that and that I wanted to draw Reg again -- he's so much fun to draw!   And I like his personality, too -- he's cool.  I can hardly wait for the point when I can bring him back for a real storyline.  :D
