I was so pleased by the way the drawings from this strip turned out -- the mermaid really does look like a stereotypical mermaid turned human, doesn't she?  Oh, and by the way, you never do find out her name -- she's just "the mermaid."  But since she's exactly like almost every other mermaid in Aylia's world, that's hardly surprising.  She's such a brat.  :)
